Art direction for lowheaven's "Ritual Decay"

In 2022, I was fortunate to meet some of the members of lowheaven who were planning on releasing their first full-length album. After some conversations and after being signed to the record label MNRK Heavy, we agreed to collaborate on the art direction for their debut album "Ritual Decay". Their sound had elements of post-metal and metal-core with crushing riffs and massive soundscapes reminiscent of classic bands like Cult of Luna, ISIS, and Cave In. With all that in mind, I wanted to convey that dark and heavy atmosphere in the artwork for this record. Elements of analog glitch were used in the making of the creative process for the album.

The band describes themselves as "not a happy listen" and I feel like the art direction for this release mirrors that sentiment. The album releases worldwide on August 26th, 2025 via MNRK Heavy Records
