In late October, by chance I happened to get into contact with Mario Duplantier of Gojira. He expressed interest in wanting to use some of my video work for their live performance setting as they were about to tour through France.

Immediately I went to work and with only a few weeks to work on this project, I had no moodboard and very little direction besides Mario selecting some of my own works that he liked and that the video art would be played during their performance of the song
"The Cell".

With all of this in mind, I decided that the visual motifs I wanted to go for were sorrowful and mournful statues as I've always been a fan of roman catholic and religious imagery and the fact that the song's themes deal with mental anxiety and depression. I also wanted to incorporate lyrics in some way so I wanted some of the words to briefly flash in and out as if a subliminal message was leaking through.

I gathered stock footage from stock sites and Midjourney and plugged them into my CRT TV. From there I manipulated the signals with my glitch device, creating a very interesting looking aesthetic. I then captured the footage on screen with a DSLR and finally edited everything in After Effects.
